In the midst of reduced housing land and skyrocketing property prices, the size of the house has become smaller with the demands of the same needs and comfort and even tends to increase. This is where ingenuity and creativity are tested to create a simple but elegant contemporary home interior design.
The first is the bedroom design. The bedroom as the main facility of a house is something that must be prioritized in designing. The bedroom interior design concept refers to the basic principles of architecture, namely: spirituality, material harmony with the environment, and urban awareness. Wooden crate floors with balcony doors are made of folding glass doors to give relief to this tiny bedroom. Besides being artistic and blending nicely with the tropical environment, all materials like this look elegant but are easy and inexpensive in their care.
Then is Ladder Design. Limited budget and the need for a lot of space in the middle of a narrow and squeezed land, made the Architect give birth to the Split-Grow House Concept, which is the Split House that grows along with the budget capabilities of the owner. The split concept is used to overcome the amount of space demand that is equivalent to 3 floors, but manipulated to look 2 floors when viewed from the front side of the house so that it does not look striking and races high up the neighbor’s house. Take advantage of the space under the stairs as a shelf or library at home. This design provides enough space to put and store items while maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of the room so that the room remains relieved.
The last is voids and parks. Often the size of a small house is accompanied by a crush from a neighbor’s house. Void can be a smart solution for dealing with noise, lack of lighting, and noise pollution from neighboring homes. The area under the voids can also be used as a minimalist garden that adds to the impression of relief because the outside environment is in the room. The myth that a small house on a narrow land must be crowded and uncomfortable is not true. Likewise, the assumption that interior costs must be expensive and not affordable for small house owners, is not true. Applying the right interior design ideas can overcome these two problems and develop them into a simple but elegant interior design of a small house today.
How have you found a plan to design a small house for you? Hopefully, some of the things and images that we have provided can inspire you in arranging your little house later. Good luck and congratulations on creating.
